My name is Christy and I’m an abstract artist from Bossier City, Louisiana, where I reside with my husband of 29 years. My journey with painting began in a very unexpected way. In 2020, after experiencing the heartbreaking loss of my son, Jet, I picked up a paintbrush simply as a way to cope. What I didn’t know then was how much painting would become a lifeline for me—helping me heal, breathe, and find moments of peace again.
Creating art has helped me process grief and rediscover joy. Every time I step into my studio, I'm learning that beauty and hope can grow even in the hardest seasons. My desire is that my paintings can bring that same sense of calm and encouragement to others.
